Location: Full-Time Remote, Travel required

Safety Manager Overview:
We are seeking a Safety Manager to join our team at Miller Brothers Solar at locations Across North America. As a leader in the Solar Renewables industry, we are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.

The Safety Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing programs to compliance with OSHA, NFPA70E/QEW and company specific safety requirements. The Safety Manager will serve as the initial point of contact for safety and environmental related incident response, investigations, customer qualification processes and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Safety Manager Role:

  • Provides support to Site team for Solar/Bess/Substations Able to train QEW, NFPA 70E, LOTO for Solar and Bess plants.
  • Oversee safety and health programs and training at all locations across North America to ensure compliance with established corporate policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct and prepare audits to identify potential regulatory exposures. Establish action plans (administrative, engineering controls) to correct exposures.
  • Conducts safety meeting, audits, and implement follow up assessments.
  • Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
  • Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on site locations.
  • Provides the team with guidance on health and safety and confirm site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines, and regulations.
  • Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
  • Maintains a system log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good safety practices.
  • Provides support to Site team. For Solar/Bess/Substations Ubale to train QEW
  • Worked with LMS systems
  • Take lead and investigate and review injuries and illnesses to determine if injury/illness results in an unsafe work practice or unsafe work environment.
  • Review and analyze loss runs and apprise management of trends to support safety program development, improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct training in current safety topics for all locations.
  • Review proposed/new regulations into existing EHS policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conducts safety meeting, audits, and implement follow up assessments.
  • Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
  • Provides management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
  • Maintains a system log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • Provides technical support to operations and maintenance team.
  • Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
  • Monitor existing performance measures across all locations.
  • Mentor site leadership personnel in EHS related topics and activities.
  • Coordinate and lead the EHS, LOTO annual audits of each facility.
  • Travel up to 50%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in EHS management or a similar role, specifically in the renewables, solar, wind, etc environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health practices.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in safety management are a plus.
  • Proficient in conducting root cause analysis and developing effective training programs tailored to various employee groups.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
