Potter Violins, a violin shop dedicated to providing exceptional instruments, accessories, and services to musicians of all levels, is seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team in Takoma Park, Maryland as a Sales Associate specializing in cello sales. Title: Sales Associate
Hourly Rate: $28 - $32
Hours per week: 32 – 40 hours, Tuesday - Saturday

Sales

• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing cellos, violins, violas, and bows, and related accessories based on their preferences, skill level, and budget, ensuring customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
• Provide expert guidance and advice on instrument selection, especially cello, including setup, maintenance, and care, and ensuring customers make informed decisions.
• Conduct instrument demonstrations for clients to showcase instrument qualities and assist in their decision-making process, and conduct trials.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of our product offerings, including their features and benefits.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of orchestral string instruments, particularly violins, violas, and cellos.
• Must possess advanced playing skills on the cello to effectively demonstrate instruments and assist customers, violin and viola playing skills a plus.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a track record of providing outstanding service to customers.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
• Passion for music and music education and a genuine interest in helping musicians of all levels find the perfect instrument.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using computer software and point-of-sale systems.
