Overview:
The Jockey Club Information Systems Inc. (TJCIS) is the leading research and production source of North American Thoroughbred sales catalogue pedigrees. TJCIS integrates state of the art technology into equine business operations. TJCIS writes catalogue pages for a host of Thoroughbred sales companies and currently we have an opening for a Sales Processor.
The Sales Processor inputs and verifies sales entries. Organizes and prepares computer runs. Interacts with sales company personnel concerning all aspects of production of sales catalogues and scheduling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Receives, data enters, quality controls and verifies sale entries.
· Disseminates sales status information to customers and management.
· Proofreads, verifies and tracks all phases of entry processing.
· Interacts with sales company personnel.
· Responsible for scheduling and disseminating printer usage.
· Sale Setup and Release
· Maintain order of pages and printouts for writers
· Track, print and bill Pedigree Production entries
This position has shared responsibility for the timely and accurate production of catalogue pages and for keeping customers informed of production status. Failure to meet deadlines or errors not detected before final production of the sales catalogue could result in lost revenues and customers.
This position has shared responsibility for running and printing entry processing related jobs. Ineffective scheduling will result in insufficient work for catalogue writers and production delays. This position will require you to stay on schedule without direct supervision.
This position may be asked to supervise part-time employees to assist in their department.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONTACTS
During production of sales catalogue pages this position interacts daily with sales company staff to discuss production and scheduling. There is also daily contact with supervisory and management staff to review schedules and departmental status.
This position has occasional contact with consignors and sales company staff to review entry data. It also has contact with outside organizations to coordinate data pertinant to catalogue pages.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent.
Data processing skills
Computer knowledge and technical skills
Proofreading skills.
Good written and communication skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is performed in an office environment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be available to occasionally work additional hours, when production requires it.
Time off such as vacation, is extremely limited from June through December.
