Texas ENT Specialists, LLP is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator/Patient Coordinator to to add to our team. We are looking for someone who is patient focused, enjoys working with a team, detail oriented, and able to multi-task. Must have 2 years experience working the front office in a busy medical practice, experience with high volume phone calls to make appointments preferred.

Texas ENT Specialists, LLP is a busy specialty practice with 7 physicians, 1 Physician Assistant, and 3 audiologists, and over 35+ employees with locations in Bedford, Grapevine, Southlake, and our newest location in Flower Mound. The physicians of Texas Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialists, LLP strive to provide the highest quality of efficient otolaryngic and facial plastic surgical care in a compassionate environment.

The position is a full time role, Monday-Friday. Office hours are 8-5. (We are also open to entertain a part time option as well.)

Job duties include but are not limited to: making appointments (inbound and outbound referral calls) over the phone for patients by following established and new patient office policies and procedures for patient appointments, screening calls, taking messages, and assisting callers. In addition, the Patient Coordinator is required to greet and check patients in and out, schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, enter patient demographic information and handle the financial aspect of the patient’s office visit or procedure to include collecting co-pays, deductibles and balances. Posting payments and any charges necessary and balances batches daily. Must be willing to travel to all locations to cross cover, as needed. This role would be a float position between our 2 Southlake offices as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Minimum of high school graduation or GED.

Experience: Prefers two years work experience in a medical group setting. Computer experience and prior experience in dealing with managed health care entities required.

Skills: Knowledge of medical office procedures. Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Skill in operating a computer, photocopier, calculator and other office machines. Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to deal with insurance companies and managed care contractual arrangements on behalf of patients. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. Basic mathematical skills required making calculations, balance and reconcile figures and make changes accurately. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic and numeric systems. Ability to maintain confidential patient information. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, employees, patients and the public. Ability to adapt to change in a very rapidly changing environment. Ability to work under pressure.
