School Cafeteria Manager

Emma Jewel Charter Academy is a K–8 public charter school committed to academic excellence and community values. We are seeking a passionate Cafeteria Manager to oversee our school’s food service operations and ensure our students receive healthy, safe, and enjoyable meals each day.

Responsibilities:

• Plan menus that meet USDA, state, and local nutrition standards
• Supervise and schedule cafeteria staff; lead team meetings and training
• Maintain inventory and place food and supply orders as needed
• Monitor food preparation, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations
• Track daily meal counts and complete reports for meal reimbursement programs
• Coordinate with administrators for special events and student dietary needs
• Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment for students

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Food Service, Nutrition, or related field preferred)
• 2+ years of food service management experience (school setting preferred)
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Familiarity with USDA Child Nutrition Program requirements a plus

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift during school hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
