Job Summary
The role of the Principal is to foster and oversee the vision to develop hearts and minds for Jesus in the context of Christian education. The Principal of Beaches Chapel School will lead the faculty and staff, create a culture of Christ-centeredness, and maintain the highest levels of educational excellence in all curriculum, personnel, and faith aspects of the school.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vision and Planning:
- Setting long-term goals and objectives for the school.
- Developing strategic plans to achieve the school's mission.
- Continuously evaluating and improving school programs and initiatives
2. Leadership and Administration:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the school.
- Implementing school policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations.
- Managing the school budget and resources.
- Maintain unity, clarity, and purpose across the school.
3. Spiritual Guidance:
- Promoting the Christian faith and values within the school community.
- Organizing religious activities, such as chapel services and prayer meetings.
- Providing spiritual support and counseling to students and staff.
4. Academic Oversight:
- Supervising the development and implementation of the curriculum.
- Monitoring student performance and progress as the Principal.
- Supporting teachers in their instructional practices and professional development.
- Ensuring a high standard of education is maintained.
5. Community Engagement:
- Building relationships with parents, students, and the wider community.
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
- Encouraging parental involvement and participation in school activities.
6. Staff Management:
- Hiring, training, and evaluating school staff.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Addressing any staff concerns or conflicts.
7. Discipline and Safety:
- Enforcing school discipline policies.
- Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Handling any disciplinary issues that arise.

· Ability to occasionally work extended hours beyond the regular school day

· Ability to monitor student outcomes to assess the effectiveness of strategic plan implementation
· Ability to prepare and manage the school’s budget and allocated resources
· Ability to use technology to effectively communicate and manage tasks
· Ability to read, interpret, and enforce the State Board Rules, Code of Ethics, School Advisory Council policies, and appropriate evaluation procedures
· Ability to use coaching and evaluation procedures
· Ability to design, plan, and organize activities to achieve goals
· Ability to make and/or share decisions promptly
· Ability to set high achievement expectations with benchmarks of progress toward goals

Education & Experience
· Master’s Degree required
· 5-7 years of education experience
· Must have knowledge of state and LICS accreditation standards and help maintain these with employees.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
· This position will be a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Lead Pastor.
· Standard office hours are 7:30 am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri), however, this position may require amended work hours during special events or projects.
Work Environment
· Beaches Chapel School maintains a professional work environment and shares campus space with Beaches Chapel Church. Proper work attire and professional behavior are necessary for staff members, school students, and families. Staff members should also abide by security requirements established by Beaches Chapel while school is in session.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
