Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Business Development Representative to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is crucial in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities connecting our advanced AI security solutions with potential clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in AI technologies and cybersecurity and excellent communication and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities by understanding customer requirements and challenges.
- Initiate contact with potential clients through cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Present Preamble's AI security solutions to prospective clients, effectively communicating our value proposition.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies for lead generation and sales.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform business development strategies.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the product and engineering teams to enhance our offerings based on customer and market demands.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably focusing on cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or AI.
- In-depth knowledge of industry-leading tools and platforms in AI security.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of translating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to creatively address customer challenges.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and ambitious, with a passion for driving customer success.
- Experience with Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions or similar cybersecurity technologies is highly preferred.
Compensation: This position offers a performance-based compensation package, including:
- Commission: Competitive commission structure based on sales performance.
- Equity: Opportunity to earn equity in the company, aligning your success with the company's growth.
- Deferred Compensation: Potential for deferred compensation arrangements to be discussed during the interview process.
Contract-to-Hire Details: This role will commence as a contract position, with the potential for transition to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and mutual agreement. This arrangement allows both parties to assess fit and effectiveness before committing to a long-term employment relationship.
