Position Summary

The Senior Document Control Specialist at T/C Arms is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling electronic and hard-copy documentation that defines product configuration and governs manufacturing processes for firearms, components, and accessories. This role ensures that only the latest, approved documentation is available at the point of use, supporting compliance, product quality, and customer requirements.

This position works closely with Quality, Engineering, Machine Shop, Assembly, Packing, and Testing teams across T/C Arms’ New Hampshire facilities to maintain document integrity, support ISO 9001 requirements, and drive continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, collection, control, and maintenance of documented information required to support firearm and component manufacturing processes
  • Ensure documentation reflects the latest approved revision levels necessary to control product realization and configuration
  • Manage electronic document distribution, including uploading, access control, retrieval verification, and availability at the point of use
  • Coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing leadership to ensure timely communication and distribution of updated documentation to all applicable personnel
  • Maintain strict control of obsolete documentation, ensuring outdated materials are removed from workstations and production areas
  • Collaborate with department-level document control contacts to maintain consistency across machine shops, assembly, packing, and testing operations
  • Conduct frequent audits of production floors, machining areas, and packing operations across all New Hampshire facilities; lead corrective actions as required
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication related to documentation-driven quality issues and drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities
  • Lead document control activities in compliance with ISO 9001 standards and actively participate as a member of the ISO internal audit team
  • Support Quality leadership by developing team management skills and serving as backup to the Quality Assembly Supervisor when required
  • Take a leadership role in resolving quality and documentation issues using Quality team resources
  • Lead and actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives related to documentation, process control, and compliance
  • Follow all required Safety, Quality, and ISO procedures at all times
  • Maintain regular on-site attendance and punctuality as an essential function of the role
  • Support other functional areas or facilities as business needs dictate
  • Work overtime or alternate shifts as required to support production demands
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Level II Document Control role or equivalent, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Advanced proficiency with PC systems, copiers, and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form across departments and organizational levels
  • Ability to present information confidently in one-on-one and small group settings with peers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, print reading, and basic Quality concepts
  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical design documentation; exposure to electrical or optical documentation is a plus
  • Experience participating in root cause analysis and problem-solving teams, particularly related to prevention of customer escapes
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
