Electrical Design Engineer

Location: 4951 E. Adamo Dr. Suite 240, Tampa, FL 33605

Positions Available: 1
Employment Duration: Full Time
Shift: M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Position Overview:

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time position that will research, identify, create, develop, construct, and integrate electrical solutions into the design of our clients’ projects. Creative electrical design solutions are crucial to the success of our projects and create an all-encompassing product development experience for our clients. Ideal candidates for the position will have superior knowledge of Electrical Engineering, exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and the necessary hands-on skill set such as soldering, wiring, utilization of Altium (or other relevant software), etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Researches and analyzes data such as design proposals, specifications, and documentation to determine feasibility of design or application.

· Designs sub-systems such as primary power distribution, electrical/electronic controls, robotic control systems, RF power delivery, and electrical control interfaces.

· Plans, designs, and documents electrical and electromechanical sub-systems.

· Create and maintain design specifications, schematics, and test requirements for PCB verification.

· Communicate with component suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors for part selection and troubleshooting.

· Perform testing, validation, verification, and troubleshooting on circuit board prototypes using test measurement devices such as multi-meters, and oscilloscopes.

· Design test fixtures for programming verification in the production environment.

· Analyze/Document prototype builds and make design changes as needed.

· Manage electrical assembly BOM using PCB CAD software and MS Excel.

· Works to complete projects within budget and scheduling goals provided by management.

· Work with other team members and outside contractors as needed.

· Responsible for integrating improvements and design changes to existing client projects.

· Supports manufacturing with design changes and corresponding documentation.

· Report on tasks and projects utilizing MS Office 365 Planner tool.

· Document hours and allocate to appropriate customer/project using QuickBooks time tracking tool.

· Perform other assigned tasks as directed by management.

· Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Required Skills:

· Schematic capture and PCB Layout software experience (Altium Preferred).

· Experience with rapid electronics design.

· Familiarity with microcontroller implementation

· Ability to lead and take direction and comprehend design feedback and intent.

· High level of organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed.

· Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Educational/Certification/License Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
