Job Description

As a Senior Engineer your priority is architecting, designing, and managing fiber networks. Success will be achieved through network planning, defining network architecture, creating standards and deliverables for OSP engineers, and ensuring as-built network meets specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Management of network elements for fiber networks
  • OSP Lead for all related OSP FTTH/X projects
  • Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new projects
  • Engineers complex jobs with extensive cuts, technology changes, or major network components
  • Engineers moderate to complex electronics (preferred but not required)
  • Act as a team mentor and resident expert for all cross-functional partner teams
  • Engineers’ projects with a high degree of complexity
  • Provides leadership to employees
  • Acts as facilitator or team member for initiatives, committees, focus, groups, projects

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ Years’ Experience with OSP/ISP
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Fluent on architecture, implementation, and interconnectivity from diverse equipment manufacturers
  • Expert level understanding of Telecom/Fiber, Outside Plant (OSP), Inside Plant (ISP), and related construction methods (Aerial, UG, Boring, Plowing, Trenching, Micro-trenching).
  • Expert level working knowledge of engineering FTTx, including GPON technology
  • Experience with telecommunication engineering in a GIS based system
  • Experience and understanding of Rights of Way (ROW), permitting, and pole attachments
  • Working knowledge governing codes, such as, NESC code and GO95
  • Experience working with customers and or vendors
  • Working knowledge of RUS Codes
  • Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies
  • Experience with 3-GIS, Comsof, ArcGIS, and/or AutoCAD preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,00.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay up to 10%

Work Location: Denver, CO or Remote
