Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key role for a) driving the performance of the Akona Process Solutions' finance department, b) enabling enterprise business management continuous improvement, and c) improving financial decision-making & financial results enterprise-wide. This role is responsible for total enterprise financial modeling, analysis and reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, business performance intel & KPIs); forecasting and budgeting monthly financial results; and leading our performance insight mission to better equip executive leaders to make decisions. The successful teammate overcomes data & analytical obstacles to deliver results, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modeling, analysis, and reporting – incl. consolidation of enterprise-wide results
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting financial performance – investigate variances & implications
  • Deliver monthly key performance indicator (KPI) reporting on key drivers of enterprise results
  • Lead annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting
  • Ad hoc analysis (e.g. for executive team, functional leaders, board, lenders)
  • Master the ERP (Epicor Kinetic), core related data systems and act as an organizational champion
  • Champion process & tool improvements across the finance team

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years experience
  • Experience in financial report interpretation and account analysis
  • Strong financial acumen with knowledge of corporate accounting principles
  • Proficiency in financial planning and financial software systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely

Job Expectations

  • On-site, M-F 8am-5pm
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Extended hours and weekends as necessary
