Senior Medical Billing Specialist

• Manage end-to-end medical billing processes, including claim submission, follow-up, and resolution of denials or rejections
• Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding systems, to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Review medical records and documentation to verify correct coding, including DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) assignments for inpatient stays
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation and optimize billing accuracy
• Utilize EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to input data, track claims, and update patient records
• Conduct thorough medical collection efforts to recover outstanding balances from insurance companies and patients
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities, audit trails, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in business administration or related field

Experience

• Three years proven experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and insurance claim processes
• Familiarity with DRG classifications, CPT coding procedures, ICD coding standards, and medical billing software systems
• Experience working with EHR systems is highly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex medical documents for accurate coding and billing
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and clients

Pay: $4,583.00 - $4,832.50 per month
