Full job description

Are you ready to take ownership of the systems engineering behind the next generation of expandable space habitats? We’re seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the full lifecycle of a groundbreaking human-rated spacecraft program—spanning low Earth orbit, lunar, and deep space missions.

About the Opportunity

This is your chance to play a pivotal role in developing scalable, inflatable habitats that will transform how humans live and work in space. You’ll be part of a small, fast-moving team bringing advanced space infrastructure from design through to launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle: requirements, architecture, integration, V&V, and certification.
  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, thermal, and life support systems into a unified spacecraft solution.
  • Drive NASA human-rating certification and interface with launch providers and mission partners.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams—including soft goods engineers, payload specialists, and systems integrators.
  • Contribute to program management, reviews, and mission planning.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in systems engineering for human-rated spacecraft, modules, or habitats.
  • Experience delivering real flight hardware to orbit (Dragon, Starliner, Orion, ISS modules, BEAM, HALO, LIFE, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of NASA standards, certification processes, and human factors requirements.
  • Broad integration experience across mechanical and electrical subsystems.
  • Startup mentality: proactive, hands-on, and driven to deliver results in a lean, fast-paced environment.

Bonus Skills:

  • Background in soft goods systems integration (spacesuits, inflatable modules, expandable habitats).
  • Program management experience alongside technical leadership.

Why Join?

  • Be a foundational team member shaping the future of human spaceflight.
  • Work on real flight hardware with missions targeted in the next 2–3 years.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your impact is immediate.
  • Competitive compensation package and the chance to leave your mark on humanity’s next frontier.

If you’re passionate about building space stations and want to be part of a team redefining orbital living, we’d love to hear from you.
