We are currently seeking to add a FT Senior Accountant to our Tax Services team.
Responsibilities
· Prepare and review Federal, State, and Local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and non-profit entities.
· Prepare complex tax returns, clear and concise workpapers, and effective internal and external correspondence, including taxing authorities.
· Exhibit knowledge of the rules, regulations, and code of professional ethics of the AICPA and State Society.
· Ability to research relevant tax laws and regulations, prepare memos or documentation and draw conclusions.
· Develop comprehensive knowledge of client's business and tax circumstances.
· Create year-round tax planning projections and strategies to meet client needs.
· Mentor junior staff and interns.
Qualifications:
· BS Degree in Accounting.
· CPA License preferred.
· Minimum of 3+ years as a staff accountant or related accounting experience.
· Experience with both Individual and Business tax return preparation.
· Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
· Experience with various types of tax software desired.
· Proficient in QuickBooks, online, and desktop.
· Ability to work with multiple clients and manage deadlines and projects – often simultaneously.
· Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
· Ability to adjust to new, different, or changing requirements while conveying a sense of urgency.
