Day to Day
We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer with a solid background in design systems to help contribute to the development and evolution of the Indeed design system. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across all our digital platforms. Your expertise will be pivotal in establishing best practices, creating scalable design solutions, and driving the strategic direction of our design system. This specific role will requires excellent written communication skills along with information architecture and taxonomy expertise.
Responsibilities
- Documentation of design system guidelines, rationale and accessibility considerations.
- Subject matter expert for the design system and responsible for design solutions that balance both the business and user needs.
- Partner with the cross-functional product team to define and communicate the vision for the design system
- Information architecture and taxonomy for design guidelines.
- Provide expertise and coaching to peers.
- Purposefully contribute to Indeed’s UX frameworks and quality standards.
- Use a deep knowledge of UX methodologies to discover solutions and validate concepts.
Skills/Competencies
- 6+ years of UX experience with an accompanying portfolio.
- Proven skills with Figma.
- Good written skills and the ability to communicate design rationale.
- Demonstrated experience with design thinking frameworks, as well as experience integrating both generative and evaluative UX research.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and partners through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with partner disciplines including Research, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Client Support, and Sales.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team that is geographically dispersed.
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design or related field

New York City, Metro Area 139,000 - 201,000 USD per year
Seattle, Metro Area 139,000 - 196,000 USD per year
San Francisco, Metro Area 147,000 - 213,000 USD per year
Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
