Epimed has facilities located in Upstate New York and the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We have direct sales representatives across the US including Europe and distribute in over 45 countries. Several of our products have been developed with our customers to solve problems, reduce complications and provide better care of their and others patients.
Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (others may be assigned)
- Compares the identifying information and counts items of incoming (other than manufacturing and R&D products ) and outgoing shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determines method of shipment
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons, or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Assembles cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers.
- Gathers items listed on packing slips and packages into appropriate containers.
- Inserts items into containers.
- Stamps, stencils, or stickers identifying information and shipping instructions on to crates or containers.
- Completes relevant paperwork per carrier/shipping method.
- Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments (other than manufacturing and R&D products), rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damage and shortages.
- Routes items to departments.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
