Location: 3580 Marcola Rd Springfield Or 97455
Hours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (overtime on an as needed basis)
Days: Monday – Thursday (Friday’s as needed)
Position: Hourly $17.76 - $22.00 per hour D.O.E.
Payroll: Bi-weekly
Opened Until Filled.
Valid drivers license is a requirement.
Job Summary
Sky Manufacturing, an automotive products manufacture and distributor, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring accurate processing of shipments, and maintaining inventory levels. This role requires proficiency in various warehouse equipment and systems, as well as strong attention to detail to ensure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Responsible for receiving and shipping materials between warehouses and customers while preforming duties to support the direct labor operations of the shipping department.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them correctly.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, order pickers, and reach trucks to move inventory efficiently.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with e-commerce teams to manage online order fulfillment processes.
- Assist in conducting regular stock counts and inventory audits to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
- Ability to drive to manufactures facilities to pick up pallets of product utilizing flat bed work trucks-3 hours max.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Assemble customer orders from the stock area, packing stations, and shipping department.
- Ensures organizational structure of inventory.
- Enter all shipping information into the system.
- Ensure all weights and counts are ready for distribution per company standards.
- Maintain counts, labels, and inventory of shipped castings (product or items).
- Moves materials to and from designated areas in preparation for shipping and/or receiving.
- Prepare materials for shipping by applying proper markings.
- Maintain general shipping/receiving housekeeping, including sweeping, breaking down boxes, and loading/unloading materials.
- Fills and distributes requisitions, work orders and requests of materials and tools to production employees and assembly line
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding issues or concerns related to standard work processes.
- Complete safety training and comply with company safety and environmental policies.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
- Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of one to two years of experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse operations environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, order pickers, forklifts, box vans.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce operations is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one to two years of experience in a shipping/receiving environment is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting, twisting, and bending:
- Standing: Frequent to continuous

- Gripping/manipulation: Frequent
- Lifting and Carrying: Up to 60 lbs. from floor to waist; 60+ lbs. with assistance.
Working Conditions
Employees will work in a noisy environment. The role involves working near moving mechanical parts and using standard light equipment and tools. This position regularly works indoors in climate controlled conditions.
Personal Protective Equipment and Safety
Employees must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety glasses, hearing protection, proper shoes, hair ties, gloves.
A seat belt must be worn at all times when operating a forklift.
Always adhere to established safety practices.
OSHA 10 training is a plus.
