Job Summary
Petro-Chem Services is hiring experienced, safety-focused Shore Tankermen to support marine transfer operations involving petroleum products, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. This position is responsible for safely performing transfer duties at docks, terminals, barges, and marine facilities while maintaining compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and all applicable safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform shore tankerman duties for cargo transfer operations.

Inspect hoses, valves, fittings, barges, docks, and related equipment before, during, and after transfers.

Safely connect, monitor, and disconnect transfer hoses and equipment.

Participate in pre-transfer conferences and confirm transfer details with all involved parties.

Monitor transfer activity closely and remain alert to changing conditions, hazards, and operational issues.

Complete all required paperwork, checklists, logs, and reports accurately and on time.

Communicate professionally with customers, vessel personnel, dock staff, dispatch, and management.

Follow all Petro-Chem Services safety policies, PPE requirements, and customer-specific procedures.

Use Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions exist.

Attend required training, safety meetings, and audits.

Be available for on-call schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Travel to assigned job sites and customer locations.

Qualifications
Valid U.S. Coast Guard Tankerman endorsement preferred, or related experience depending on assignment needs.

Previous experience in marine transfers, terminal operations, tankerman work, or similar industrial environments preferred.

Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.

Ability to read and understand procedures, safety instructions, and customer requirements.

Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.

Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening, background checks, and customer site requirements.

Valid driver’s license preferred.

Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to climb ladders, board barges and vessels, walk docks, and handle transfer equipment.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment as needed.

Ability to wear required PPE and remain alert throughout the duration of transfer operations.
