ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Show Sales Manager will be responsible for Carnivero’s LIVE sales via social media platforms such as Instagram and Plant Story. The Show Sales Manager will also coordinate and manage in-person trade shows. They are accountable for relationships with customers on-camera and in-person as well as coordinating logistics and managing inventory. This role requires a high level of organization and a hands-on approach. The Show Sales Manager must liaise with customers in a friendly and inviting way. They will coordinate show programming and educational content in such a way to keep our LIVE sales fun, entertaining and informative with the goal to onboard new customers into successfully growing our amazing plants.

The role will liaise closely with Carnivero’s owner and other staff members. They must be comfortable working within a large team and requesting resources from other departments when needed. This is a full time job expected to work 40 hours per week. Due to LIVE and trade show schedules, the work schedule will require some evenings and weekends. Travel will be required for trade shows with the expectation of around 1 show per month.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Builds relationships with customers during LIVE sales on social media (IG & Plant Story)
• Manages and works trade shows
• Coordinates show logistics including booking, staffing and transportation
• Onboards new customers and ensures they have resources to be successful
• Creates educational content
• Works with the fulfillment team to ensure orders are properly imported into our system
• Maintains accurate inventory forecasting using analytics from Shopify and past shows
• Transports plants to in-person shows using Carnivero’s cargo van.
• Maintains a positive, team-building attitude even in a sometimes chaotic, fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience organizing events or trade shows (preferred)
• Experience as an educator (preferred)
• Passionate about plants and desire to spread the joy to others
• Prior nursery experience is a plus!
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively in person and across digital platforms
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with teams across departments
• Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks under time constraints and deadlines
• Demonstrated efficiency, productivity, attention to detail and accuracy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Remaining in a seated or standing position for extended periods
• Performing repetitive tasks with hands, fingers, and wrists
• Exercising a consistently high degree of accuracy when using fine motor skills
• Driving for long period of time to trade shows across the USA (CDL not required)
• Able to lift 25-50 pounds at a time
• This role will require working LIVE shows on some evenings and weekends and traveling to trade shows across the USA.

Compensation: $17 - $22 per hour + discretionary bonuses based on company/individual performance
