As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing + implementing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence, engage our audiences + increase brand awareness. This role requires a creative + strategic thinker who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be a key player in creating our videography, photography + graphics, written content, managing social media channels + analyzing performance metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capture high-quality photography + videography content that showcases our products, processes + brand story.
• Edit photos + videos to produce polished, professional content for various social media platforms.
• Write compelling short-form and/or SEO copy for our website, social media posts, ads + other marketing materials.
• Develop + execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our brand goals + target audience.
• Manage + maintain social media channels, including our websites, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn + others.
• Plan + schedule content, ensuring consistency in brand voice + messaging, while improving our content scores.
• Interact with followers, respond to comments, messages + foster a positive online community.
• Identify opportunities for engagement + collaborate with influencers or partners to expand reach.
• Track + analyze social media performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Provide regular reports with insights + recommendations for improvement.
• Work closely with other departments to align social media content with overall marketing strategies + campaigns.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, platform updates + best practices to ensure our social media presence remains innovative and effective.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia Design, or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Content Creator, or similar role.
• Strong skills in photography, videography + photo/video editing software.
• Excellent writing + editing skills, with a knack for crafting engaging short-form copy.
• A creative thinker with a strong eye for design + aesthetics.
• Proficient in using social media management tools + analytics platforms.
• Excellent communication, organizational + project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication + interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently + as part of a team.
• Knowledge or passion for woodworking, cabinetry, or the home building industry is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS + ATTITUDES

• Technical skills: Technical skills are essential for this role to be able to create + curate detailed content. The Social Media Manager must have knowledge of the platforms + software that they will use to complete a project.
• Communication skills: Communication skills are fundamental for this role to effectively communicate + collaborate with other departments + external partners. Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences + platforms. They need strong written + verbal communication skills for creating + delivering presentations, reports, social media strategies + content.
• Attention to detail: The Social Media Manager needs sharp attention to detail to ensure rigorous quality control in visual + written content to maintain brand standards. This attention to detail enables them to be meticulous in editing + proofreading skills to guarantee accuracy + consistency in brand messaging + calls to action.
• Problem-solving skills: This position will use strong analytic skills to proactively identify + resolve issues or challenges in social media campaigns. They need the flexibility to adjust plans + strategies in response to changing circumstances or feedback.
• Mechanical aptitude: As a Social Media Manager, you will need the ability to troubleshoot + resolve technical issues with equipment + editing software. You need to have the ability to learn + adapt to new technologies.
