Medieval Collectibles is an online retailer selling unique Medieval, Renaissance, and Fantasy themed replicas, home decor, clothing, and much more. We are a family-owned business that’s been around for over 20 years and have become an industry leader. You may have seen our products in movies, on TV, or at Renaissance events without even knowing it! While we carry products from top international brands, we are locally minded. We are unique in that we craft our Dragon Forge Leather products from scratch right here in Princeton, Indiana.

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for growing our existing presence on social media and building our presence on new social media platforms. They will ensure creative efforts fit into the company’s goals. The Social Media Specialist will be supervised by the Creative Director.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of previous social media and marketing experience with social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram, is a must.
  • Proven success in retail-focused social media marketing
  • This position will require some physical demands and the candidate must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. There may be long periods of standing, sitting, and bending/reaching.
  • Provide a portfolio of previous work along with your resume.

Some tasks of the Social Media Specialist’s position include but are not limited to:

  • Determine what type of content works best on each platform and for our company.
  • Lead in data based, results driven content planning.
  • Increase website traffic from social media presence and help convert leads to sales.
  • Maintain a regular posting schedule across all social media platforms where we already have a presence. This includes but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Be comfortable on camera representing our brand in video content on social media platforms
  • Create engaging posts and videos to increase interaction with our followers and to grow our online presence across all social media platforms.
  • Interact with followers, including answering their questions and replying to comments.
  • Present each of our brands professionally and stay in line with each brand’s marketing theme.
  • Track and report all analytics to determine which methods are successful and which campaigns were effective.
  • Attend conventions, trade shows, fairs, and out of office photo and video shoots.
  • Able to work independently or in a team setting. There will be times when you will be working together with a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer.
  • Build our presence on new and upcoming social media platforms that suit our brands.

Personal Qualities:

  • Must be an outgoing individual who keeps up with current trends and can anticipate popular items, themes, or characters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and proofreading.
  • Understanding of marketing, SEO, sales, and brand development.
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A self-starter, able to stay productive and on schedule.
  • A creative thinker, always thinking of new ways to promote products.
  • A positive and friendly attitude is desired.

This is a full-time position with working hours of Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm CST at our location in Princeton, Indiana.

This position starts at $17 per hour. This may vary due to an individual's previous experience.
