Software Tester

CODE Plus, Inc., an IT government contractor, located in Fairfax, VA with offices in Huntsville, AL and Oak Ridge, TN have been in business for 29 years and have been servicing different agencies within the Federal sector. Currently seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester for analyzing requirements, conducting testing of new features, performing regression testing, creating and maintaining test cases and scripts, and developing automated tests. You'll leverage your technical expertise in software and web-based technologies to work with a diverse team of analysts and engineers to build, test, and operate system capabilities. You should be able to work independently while collaborating with a team to solve problems.

Must Have:

• 4+ years of experience working on a software development team
• 3+ years of experience developing and executing test cases and plans for web-based applications
• 3+ years of experience writing Selenium tests (Java and Python)
• Experience testing complex data states, reports and dashboards, and web services or APIs
• Experience identifying and managing defects
• Ability to quickly understand complex application functionality, business rules, and dependencies
• Experience with API testing tools, including Postman
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• High School Diploma

Desired Experience with:

• Experience with an application lifecycle management (ALM) tool, including JIRA or TFS
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with performance and load testing 
• Experience with security testing 
• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Bachelors Degree
