Full job description

Projé has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Solution Architect. This role would be responsible for crafting detailed plans and designing solutions for projects, ensuring they are tailored to meet the specific business goals and desired results. These plans are meticulously crafted to ensure they are robust, cost effective, easy to maintain and align with operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with various stakeholders including Business and IT project leaders, business, and IT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify, assess and document desired new business capabilities for implementation, as well as those existing capabilities that may be impacted.
  • Identifies the effects on essential operational processes, tools, technologies, and data sources, assessing associated risks, and presents strategies to mitigate and minimize these risks.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents key business use case scenarios with architectural significance. These Scenarios are carefully assessed to determine associated design considerations necessary for achieving an optimal balance between project objectives and broader enterprise operational needs. This includes ensuring solutions are supportable, maintainable, and maintain operational integrity.
  • Aims to optimize the utilization of existing investments across various domains including personnel, processes, services, technology, data, and security. With an approach that enhances solution quality, accelerates time to market, and enhances long-term economic sustainability.
  • Recognizes and effectively communicates the importance of prioritizing the pursuit of the most practical and fitting solution for the customer’s requirements and environment, rather than seeking perfection.
  • Concentrates on early detection and resolution of vital design decisions, implementation risks and long-term support and maintainability challenges during the project’s planning phase. With a proactive approach that mitigates the risk of budget overruns, delays, and post-implementation support issues.
  • Engages in extensive collaboration, as necessary, with various client domain architects including Business Architects, Application Architects, Data Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Security Architects, and Integration Architects throughout the development of the Solution Architecture Blueprint document.
  • Ensures that the developed solution adheres to the client's established architecture standards and principles, whether formal or informal, and maximizes the utilization of existing investments whenever feasible and applicable.
  • Takes responsibility for guiding decisions regarding whether to buy, build, rent, or reuse components for the project. Ensures that these decisions align with and support the client's immediate, short-term, and long-term needs, as well as their technology investment roadmaps.
  • Presents design recommendations objectively, facilitating effective and timely decision-making through concise written and oral communication materials that succinctly summarizes findings.
  • Keeps up to date with current and emerging trends in the healthcare payer industry, as well as emerging technologies and products.

Key Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the health plan payor industry is essential.

  • Capable of excelling in dynamic environments with significant uncertainty, skilled at handling challenging situations.
  • Proficiency in building and nurturing collaborative working relationships.
  • Knowledge of tools and technologies across multiple IT domains and understanding of critical business capabilities and processes within the healthcare payer industry.
  • Possesses deep expertise in cloud-based technologies and services, leveraging SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions to drive innovation, accelerate delivery, and achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated experience applying architectural principles, methods, and tools to address business challenges.
