Join Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin (OHOW) team and make a meaningful impact on patient care! We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonography Technologist.

This role offers a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday schedule (24–30 hours per week) and is eligible for a sign-on bonus, making it a great opportunity for candidates looking for flexibility and a supportive work environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
  • Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
  • Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to Sonography. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer/ Registered Vascular Tech (RVT) credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted, RVT required.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required

This position is located at the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin (OHOW). OHOW was established in 2001 as a joint venture between a group of orthopedic surgeons and Ascension Wisconsin.
