The Carriage House Inn resources from local vendors and is mostly scratch kitchen! We have a huge Catering Operation that provides The true Carriage House experience beyond our restaurant. Sous Chef Job Responsibilities:
- Directs food preparation and collaborates with executive chef.
- Helps in the design of food and drink menu.
- Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste.
- Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.
- Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
- Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition.
- Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
- Prepares food properly.
- Schedules staff shifts.
- Trains new employees.
- Orders food supplies.
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.
It is important for the candidate for this position to be able to multi task under high volume conditions.
Must be able to work 50/hrs week. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Must be able to coach and lead a team with the policies and standards of the work place.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and Catering off property!
All employees receive credit for PTO base on hours worked.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal culinary training can be helpful or Kitchen Management Experience 2+years
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
