Sr. DevSecOps Engineer

**Job Overview:**

Epidaurus Health is building Amphitheater, a SaaS solution designed to help payers optimize fulfillment of clinical guidelines for pharmaceutical prior authorizations. We have designed and patented a system in which best-in-class prior authorization guidelines for high-cost specialty medications are digitally curated and secured on a federated network.

We are seeking a Senior Devops Engineer / Cloud Security to join our fast growing engineering team at Epidaurus Health. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices. This role requires experience in AWS cloud and an exceptional level of enthusiasm for cloud-native technology with a proven track record of self-motivated accomplishment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions in compliance with HIPAA

- Evaluate and ensure that all necessary privacy and security requirements are met within cloud environments

- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and scalability

- Utilize DevOps tools and practices to automate deployment and streamline operations

- Maintain and enhance cloud security protocols to protect data integrity

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud environments and cloud-based applications

**Qualifications:**

- 8+ years of experience building and deploying enterprise level applications

- 5+ years of experience in AWS DevOps and architecture

- Proficiency in Python and Linux operating systems

- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and SDLC principles

- Experience working with APIs and integrating systems

- Familiarity with microservices architecture

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong grasp of DevSecOps best practices including SRE playbook, deployment strategies such as zero downtime, blue/green, canary, continuous delivery & deployment, etc., containerization

- Experience implementing and maintaining scalable, multistage CI/CD pipelines integrating SAST/DAST security tools, scanning tools in cloud environments

- Experience maintaining and monitoring mission-critical systems in the cloud

-Strong Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture concepts (VPCs, subnets, load balancers, WAF, roles, groups, policies)

- Experience using AWS cloud services including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Route53, ECR, ECS, SQS, MSK, EKS, KMS, GuardDuty, Inspector, Organization...

- Extensive hands-on scripting experience to automate processes using scripting languages such as Bash Shell, PowerShell, Python+Boto3, AWS CLI, etc

- Strong grasp of Linux OS; extensive experience configuring, patching, and managing various flavors of Linux

- Hands-on experience with DevOps toolchain and technologies such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub, SonarQube, Prometheus, Grafana, Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., Terraform), APM tools (e.g., NewRelic), log management tool (e.g., Splunk), containerization technologies and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Rancher, etc

**Nice-to-have Skills:**

- Active AWS Solutions Architect Certification or competency in services required to obtain certification

- Active AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification or competency in services required to obtain certification

- Certified Ethical Hacker

- Familiarity with HL7/FHIR standards

- Experience deploying applications to a blockchain infrastructure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
