Job Summary:

The Sr. Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of construction projects from inspection to completion. This includes planning, scope writing (project manual creation), report writing, budgeting, scheduling, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. The Sr. Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop project budgets, timelines, scopes, and resource plans
  • Obtain permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Lead pre-construction meetings and coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants
  • Oversee and manage subcontractors and construction crews
  • Track project costs and manage change orders
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality control
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and schedules
  • Identify and resolve issues or delays that could impact project delivery
  • Ensure all safety protocols and standards are followed on job sites
  • Communicate project status and updates with stakeholders regularly

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in [residential/commercial/industrial – specify]
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions:

  • Mix of office and fieldwork; frequent site visits required
  • Ability to travel to various project locations as needed
  • May require weekend or evening work depending on project timelines
