Kai USA is looking for an energetic, passionate, and talented Sr. Social Media Content Creator to join our team and help us communicate with the world about our two exciting brands: Shun Cutlery and Kai Housewares. Shun Cutlery is renowned for its premium, handcrafted Japanese knives, blending tradition and modern innovation to create high-performing, visually stunning tools. Kai Housewares offers a wide range of high-quality kitchen products designed to bring practicality and style to everyday cooking. We’re seeking someone who can take our social media presence to new heights and elevate both brands through creative storytelling, high-quality content creation, and community engagement.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00-4:30 pm, an occasional weekends and evenings
Hybrid (after initial training period, Monday and Friday could be remote but Tuesday - Thursday must be on site).
Essential Responsibilities & Duties Summary:
As a Sr. Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for managing and propelling our social media channels, bringing creativity, consistency, and strategy to every post. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to develop engaging content that reflects the premium quality of our products and resonates with both culinary professionals and home chefs. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media trends, highly skilled in content creation, and excited to build organic and paid relationships across all channels.
- Content Creation: Develop, shoot, and edit original product and lifestyle photography, as well as video content, to showcase Shun and Kai products in innovative, visually compelling ways.
- Social Media Management: Manage day-to-day activities, including content scheduling, posting, and monitoring across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with our audience by replying to consumer questions and comments regularly, ensuring authentic and helpful responses. Develop a deep understanding of Kai USA products to maintain strong consumer relationships.
- Strategy & Analytics: Collaborate with the Digital Performance Marketing Manager to develop and refine social media strategies, including both organic content and paid advertising. Use data-driven insights to propose and execute strategies that drive engagement, community growth, and brand awareness.
- Monitor & Analyze: Track, analyze, and report key metrics related to social media performance. Use these insights to optimize content and ensure active community participation and growth.
- Influencer & Paid Media Partnerships: Build and maintain organic and paid relationships with influencers and content creators to amplify brand awareness and diversify content.
- Reputation Management: Monitor social media conversations, ensuring civil and productive dialogue. Protect the integrity of our brands by addressing and resolving customer concerns quickly and effectively.
- Collaborative Content Development: Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to ensure all content aligns with the brand’s voice, aesthetics, and overall marketing objectives.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Contribute to additional marketing initiatives as needed.
Education and /or Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience working in social media for a brand or agency (Housewares/Culinary Industry experience preferred).
- Degree in marketing or communications preferred.
- Solid understanding of the digital and social media landscape, including platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and LinkedIn, with the ability to stay up to date on emerging platforms.
- Proven experience developing social media strategies, including knowledge of best practices for posting, promotions, and audience engagement.
- Experience creating content that aligns with brand standards, reflecting an understanding of brand management principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., platform-specific analytics, Yotpo, Google Analytics).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Premiere) or other photo/video editing software is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically for trade shows and other events as required.
- Schedule flexibility, including occasional weekends and evenings, to meet content creation and posting needs.
- A positive attitude, detail-oriented mindset, customer focus, and strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
