Staff Clinician

The Anxiety Institute is recruiting a Staff Clinician for our new intensive outpatient program in Boca Raton, FL. Anxiety Institute offers advanced, evidence-based treatment for anxiety and related disorders for children and young adults between the ages of 13-25 years old. Reporting to the Clinical Director, this is an exempt, full-time position.

Position Summary

The clinician will be responsible for providing evidence-based treatment to individuals, groups, and families for anxiety and related disorders. This position is responsible for providing up to 5 hours of direct client treatment per day, developing treatment plans, collaborating with peers, and interfacing and coaching families to facilitate treatment for our clients.

The successful candidate will have training in CBT and third-wave behavioral approaches (ACT, DBT, MBCT), have an affinity for working with adolescents and young adults, be licensed in Florida, exhibit a track-record of clinical success, and thrive working with a team of dedicated professionals. Experience with Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Inhibitory Learning preferred.


  • Provide up to 25 hours a week of direct client treatment for anxiety and related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and trauma related disorders.
  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety disorders, including patients with co-morbid mood disorders.
  • Conduct family-based interventions with parents/caregivers and implement strategies for fearful and resistant clients and parents related to attendance, commitment, and completion of treatment.
  • Collaborate with our board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist on cases requiring pharmacotherapy.
  • Acquire and maintain current clinical knowledge, skills, and standards set forth by the American Psychological Association (APA), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and/or American Counseling Association (ACA).


  • Applicants must be a LCSW, LMFT, LMHC or licensed psychologist.
  • Licensed in the State of Florida.
  • A minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience working with individuals, groups and families of school/college aged individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups.
  • Flexible thinking with the ability to work with challenging cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Affinity to work with school/college aged individuals and their parents.
