Position Description: Stakeholder Engagement Specialist

Summary of Position

The successful candidate for this position is skilled in networking, relationship building and strategic partner engagement.

Overview:

The successful Stakeholder Engagement Specialist is a “Go-getter” with excellent relationship building skills. This position requires a highly motivated, innovative, and outcomes driven leader with a strong work ethic. The primary goal of this new position is to lead the development of an iconic community based urban wellness center through strategic community engagement and collaboration.

Key Outcome Areas:

1. Strategic Partnership Development

  • Identify and cultivate new potential partners to support efficiency, growth, sustainability and mission aligned programs to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Curate community impact with foresight to ensure synchronicity and scale.

2. Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Maintain productive relationships with key partners, including youth, community members, organizations, donors, volunteers, and sponsors.
  • Secure new resident partners who will house their office, programs and services at OVA’s newly developing Freedom Center.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring timely and effective communication.

3. Project Planning & Program Implementation

  • Collaborate with partners to lead exciting, mission-aligned programs, events and opportunities to produce life changing outcomes that address the social determinants of health for historically marginalized children and families.
  • Build a thriving eco-system of cross-sector partners to support the collaborative design of Freedom: Delaware's first community-based urban wellness center.

4. Outreach and Engagement

  • Plan and execute outreach activities and events to engage stakeholders in our organization's mission and programs. (business networking events, tours)
  • Develop creative “out of the box” marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies and content to drive maximum engagement.
  • Manage all stakeholder space usage agreements to maximize use of space.

5. Advocacy and Communications

  • Represent OVA at community events, meetings, and forums to raise awareness of our mission and advocate for our priorities.
  • Create campaigns, press releases, newsletters, and other communications to share updates and outcomes.

6. Data and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records.
  • Generate reports and analyses to track/measure the impact of our programs and initiatives.

7. Fiscal Responsibility

  • Manage project funds with integrity, fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure optimum return on investment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partner engagement, community outreach, project planning and event management.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines to meet goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Cultural competency with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated understanding of social justice principles.

Requirements:

  • Clean background check and clearance to work with youth.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation insured and available for use during work hours.
  • Local and regional travel for meetings, conferences, and program-related activities.
  • Passion for youth development and a commitment to the well-being of young people.
  • Evening and weekend work, as well as some outdoor work in all seasons.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $36,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
