Full job description
We are looking to hire a Store Manager, Two Assistant Managers and an Operations Manager for our high-volume thrift store opening soon. Previous experience is a plus but not required. The ideal Store Manager candidate will be responsible for managing and scheduling employees, ensuring that merchandise is properly displayed and being managed effectively, ensuring that the store is clean and well-maintained at all times, and performing administrative work. The successful candidate will need to constantly evaluate inventory management systems, create growth plans and effectively utilize the inventory to meet the sales forecast.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrate communication skills with the ability to interact with customers, vendors, and other employees.
- Know basic accounting skills to perform job duties efficiently. Basic mathematical abilities, including the ability to add, subtract, divide, multiply, and tabulate figures along with basic computer skills.
- Show the ability to work well under pressure and on a tight schedule.
- Train, coach and maximize success of all employees.
- Directly manage a staff of 30+ employees.
- Must be hands on. Very little administrative duties.
- Select, train, coach and schedule personnel to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrate and promote superior customer service
- Responsible for the accurate handling of donated assets and monies involved in store operations, including daily deposits, banking and change
- Responsible for achievement of daily production goals, ensuring all merchandise is checked against quality/pricing standards prior to sending to the sales floor.
- Broad knowledge of different types of merchandise/brands preferred but not required. We will train.
The Assistant Managers will also be responsible for Opening/Closing duties along with Managing the retail floor including stocking, recovery, training, customer service, etc.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring production standards are met, along with training and coaching production employees. The Operations Manager will also be required to open/close the store as needed.
- Store Manager and Operations Manager positions have a Set Schedule. Tuesday through Saturday 8am-4:30pm
- Paid weekly and weekly bonus potential.
