The Seattle Christmas Market is looking for an outgoing and creative Strategic Partnerships & Community Manager to lead efforts in building strong partnerships, securing impactful sponsorships, and fostering meaningful connections with local organizations.

Position Title: Strategic Partnerships & Community Manager (Full-time)
The Strategic Partnership & Community Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to engage and build relationships with local community groups, organizations, underserved communities, sponsors, and media partners to enhance the visibility and reach of the Seattle Christmas Market. This role will require strong communication skills and experience in event coordination, strategic partnerships, as well as Sponsorship Acquisition that can tie to both community organizations and leading Corporations in Seattle and Nationwide.
Key Responsibility:
Community Outreach & Strategic Partnership Building:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, non-profits, and businesses to create partnership opportunities for the Market.
- Reach out to potential local partners to build strong relationships and collaborate on activations, including combo packages, cross-marketing, ticket exchanges, and mutual presence at each other’s businesses.
- Establish and maintain connections with local hotels and business associations to promote the Market and create mutually beneficial collaborations.
- Work to engage underserved community groups and invite them for special visits or events, fostering inclusivity and community support.
- Identify and collaborate with local stakeholders to increase Market awareness and attendance.
- Attend community events, local organization fundraisers, and networking events with the purpose of creating new relationships, maintaining existing ones, and ensuring Seattle Christmas Market is a part of the local community and business landscape.
Sponsor & Partner Engagement + Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for community, sponsor, and partner inquiries, responding promptly and professionally through social channels, email, and in-person interactions.
- Collaborate closely with sponsors and partners to align their goals with the Market's engagement strategy, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship.
- Oversee the execution of sponsorship activations and deliverables across all channels (on-site events, social media, online presence), ensuring they are impactful, value-driven, and elevate the overall Market experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in community engagement, event planning, public relations, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for building community relationships.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed during the Market season.
- A proactive, driven approach with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experience in or passion for event management, especially within a holiday or cultural event setting, is a plus.
Travel Requirement: A valid passport is necessary for occasional travel to Vancouver, Canada for training and team collaboration purposes. Transportation and accommodation provided.
Compensation:
- Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year (based on experience)
- Commission/ Bonuses based on the performance
- Health Care Stipend after probationary period
