Position: Strength and Conditioning Specialist – Military Setting
Location: Tucson, AZ
Start Date: As Soon As Possible ((Preferably a local candidate to Tucson))

Position: Strength and Conditioning Specialist
DURO Health LLC is seeking an exceptional Strength and Conditioning Specialist to support US military personnel in a military setting. Open-minded candidates excited to learn new programming and coaching techniques are encouraged to apply to work with our specialized team and unique client demographic. Preferred candidates will be successful in demonstrating their comprehensive understanding and ability to manage human performance concepts through cognitive and practical demonstrations of their experience.

Job Description
The position entails the execution of assigned duties, performance as a strength and conditioning specialist within a diversified team, and working in a military clinical setting supporting elite US military personnel.
Primary duties are central to injury prevention techniques, optimizing human performance, movement evaluation, rehabilitative exercise, performance testing, individualized program development, and documentation. Additionally, an exceptional appreciation and capacity to deliver personalized customer service and collaborate with a diverse rehabilitative team is required.
Strength and Conditioning Responsibilities:

  • Customize, deliver, and support individualized programming for the achievement of optimal physical function.
  • Evaluate, coach, and manage movement dysfunction, pre existing injuries and illnesses of clients.
  • Collectively work within a care team on implementation of rehabilitation protocols, injury prevention programs, human performance evaluations, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Educate clients on injury prevention and strategies, self-rehabilitation techniques, nutrition, and hydration importance necessary for recovery.
  • Select, apply, and evaluate appropriate strength and conditioning strategies.
  • Ensure the safe and effective operation of all equipment located in the performance facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This position requires US Citizenship and verification via National Agency Check
  • Master’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, or Physical Education Related Discipline
  • Holds Current NSCA CSCS
  • CPR with AED certification
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • English language fluency with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to communicate Company practices and collaborate within a care team including medical doctors, physical therapist, athletic trainer and a mental health professional.
  • Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions and react to change with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with customers at all levels; technical staff, managers, and peers.
  • Must act with high ethical values and uphold corporate philosophy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work outside normal working hours including weekends with short notice when dictated by workload.
  • Ability to routinely travel away from primary work location with little or no guidance.
  • Ability to meet the physical standards necessary to directly train, coach, and mentor individuals up to the elite-athletic level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • USA Weightlifting Certification or Experience
  • Experience working with NCAA Athletes, Professional Athletes, Olympic Athletes, or Military Personnel
  • Experience with Programming Software such as TeamBuildr or a similar software

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
Ranged salary offers are relative to personal work experience and achieved (preferred)
qualifications.
