Metropolitan Companies is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team! In this role you will collaborate closely with our architectural team to deliver integrated and innovative solutions for residential projects. Responsibilities:

Establish and lead the structural engineering department within the firm.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and other stakeholders to develop structural plans and designs for residential projects.
Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Perform structural analysis and calculations to determine load capacities, material requirements, and safety factors.
Prepare detailed structural drawings and specifications using industry-standard software.
Review and approve structural designs, ensuring they meet project requirements and client expectations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
Coordinate with contractors, construction managers, and other professionals to oversee the implementation of structural designs.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our structural engineering services.
Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate structural concepts and solutions effectively.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on multi-family residential projects.
Architectural design software skills, specifically ArchiCAD (Revit experience may be considered, although ArchiCAD is the established platform).
Proficiency in structural analysis software.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
