Full job description

Job Title: Business Analyst (Technical)

Reports To: Health Information Systems Manager

Location: Primarily Main Office (New Orleans)

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification (desired)

Required Skills and experiences:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enterprise level system implementation knowledge
  • Ability to quickly familiarize with STD/HIV/HEPATITIS program vernacular and terms
  • Ability to lead, assimilate and coordinate project team
  • A profound attention to detail
  • Enterprise level implementation or Business Process Reengineering project involvement

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engages technical and non-technical program staff as appropriate to gain information, meet project goals and objectives
  • Defines and documents current system functions and processes
  • Reviews current processes and supporting technology for redundancies
  • Seeks opportunities to gain efficiency with increased system integration
  • Produces executive summaries, functional designs or system context diagrams
  • Determines future system capabilities by analyzing current system functions, gathering information, and evaluating current outputs
  • Document new requirements using various methods such as interviews, document analysis, requirements meetings, business process analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Develop and document system use cases and requirements
  • Identifies areas of risk and develops plans to address or mitigate
  • Implementing new processes or tools with the goal of improving efficiency and quality throughout software development lifecycle
  • Produces training materials for distribution to staff and partner organizations
  • Accountable for the successful development of project timelines and the completion of project goals and milestones, sets project deadlines for team members
  • Effectively facilitate meetings, brainstorming sessions,
  • Is able to exercise independent judgment and lead enterprise level projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
