Overview:

The Wyze Product Engineer plays a crucial role in the development and enhancement of the company's product line. The responsibilities encompass various aspects of product development, engineering excellence, prototyping and testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, continuous improvement, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Product Development:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new Wyze products.
  • Contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.

Engineering Excellence:

  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems and optimize product performance.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Prototyping and Testing:

  • Create prototypes for new products and features, iterating quickly to refine and improve designs.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing, identifying and addressing any issues to enhance product reliability.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth production processes and high-quality output.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into product development.
  • Actively participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance product designs.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of product designs, testing procedures, and engineering decisions.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (IT/MIS), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product engineering, preferably in consumer electronics or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certifications for consumer electronic products.
