Technical Sales Engineer
ABOUT BRAWN MIXER
Brawn Mixer, based in Holland, MI, is a portfolio company of NBE Holdings Company. Brawn Mixer designs, engineers, and manufactures industrial liquid mixing systems for industries including food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing.
SUMMARY
The Technical Sales Engineer works with the internal Brawn Mixer team and external customers, including sales representatives/distributors, OEMs, and end users, to design, specify, and quote industrial mixing solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Communicate regularly with outside sales representatives and customers to collect relevant tank and process fluid information.
- Design mixing solutions suitable to customers’ processes, ensuring proper agitation and mechanical reliability.
- Calculate standard and special pricing for recommended mixer designs.
- Provide technical quotes to customers for industrial liquid mixers and associated equipment for a variety of applications.
- Work with purchasing and external vendors to source special materials and components.
- Collaborate with mechanical design engineering & manufacturing teams to develop appropriate lead times, efficient designs, and to resolve quality issues.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers on general liquid mixing principles, power and flow characteristics, mixer design features, and troubleshooting.
- Plan and complete laboratory testing with customer samples to evaluate fluid rheology and determine proficient mixer selections.
- Collaborate with project management team and outside sales representatives to answer technical questions on existing orders, track orders through manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery, and assist design engineering team with any modifications requested during approval process.
- Provide technical training for Brawn Mixer sales representatives and customers.
- Work the Brawn Mixer booth at trade shows.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year engineering degree is required. Mechanical, chemical or materials science disciplines are preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and adept at learning new software systems. Familiarity with 2D and 3D modeling software is preferred.
- Willingness to travel periodically for trade shows, training or field troubleshooting.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
