Job Description
We are looking for a Microsoft Windows authority to fill our Technical Support specialist position. The primary responsibilities are planning, implementation, and management of desktop, laptop, and mobile computers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the life cycle of desktop, laptop, and tablet computers. Including procurement, deployment, hardware/software support, and patching
- Serve as a first point of contact for users seeking assistance via service desk tickets, email, phone, and walk up
- End user support of Microsoft Office suite and other software applications
- Troubleshoot technical issues and assist users through a variety of break-fix procedures
- Work closely with other IT team members to ensure effective communication and escalation
- Troubleshoot and support software applications, computer hardware, printers, and peripherals
- Provide end user training for software applications, computer hardware, and peripherals
- Set up and lead technical bridges
- Communicate issues to the end user community
Required Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for delivering quality service
- Organized and efficient team player that is an adaptable and flexible self-starter
- Technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies
- In depth knowledge with Windows operating systems (10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a professional, helpful demeanor
- Proficient in creating and managing system images
- 3-5 years of IT related experience (Desktop/Application Support/Service Desk, etc.)
- Microsoft 365 administration and support experience
Desired:
- Powershell scripting experience
- Experience using desktop management tools (Kace, ManageEngine, Altiris, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Certifications (CompTIA, A+, Network+, Microsoft)
