Positions: Senior Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Technician and

Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Technician (TSCM) - Full time position

Location: Washington, DC

Cogent Security Consulting LLC seeks energetic, adaptive, detail-oriented

professionals with excellent communication skills to be a member of a small,

operational technical security team. The successful applicants will support federal

staff within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Technical Security

Program by delivering TSCM/TSSC services to NNSA sites across the country, as

needed. CONUS travel is anticipated up to 50%.

Applicants must be creative, learn quickly, have excellent interpersonal skills, and

be able to work in a team environment.

The technicians must also:

 Support an essential national security mission

 Operate and maintain sensitive measurement and survey equipment

 Plan and execute Technical Security evaluations and services IAW DOE Order

470.6, SPB Procedural Guides 1, 2, & 3, and DOE/NNSA policy within

prescribed time-frames

 Prepare thorough, clear, classified written reports comprehensively

detailing evaluation procedures and technical findings

 Respond to Technical Security discoveries IAW national, DOE and NNSA

policies

 Provide Technical Threat Briefings, analytical reports and products to senior

level officials

 Collaborate with other security professionals

REQUIREMENTS

Senior Technician:

8 years experience, performing TSCM/TSSC services for a federal program, with at

least 3 years of experience leading federal TSCM/TSSC operations.

Graduate of Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Fundamentals Course.

Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance, and current SCI Eligibility

Technician:

3 years experience performing TSCM/TSSC services for a federal program.

Graduate of Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Fundamentals Course.

Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance, and current SCI Eligibility

Salary Range:

Senior Technician $150,000 - $175,000

Technician $135,000 -$150,000
