Positions: Senior Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Technician and Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Technician (TSCM) - Full time position
Location: Washington, DC or Las Vegas, NV
Cogent Security Consulting LLC seeks energetic, adaptive, detail-oriented professionals with excellent communication skills to be a member of a small, operational technical security team. The successful applicants will support federal staff within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Technical Security Program by delivering TSCM services to NNSA sites across the country, as needed. CONUS travel is anticipated up to 50%.
Applicants must be creative, learn quickly, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a team environment. The technicians must also:
- Support an essential national security mission
- Operate and maintain sensitive measurement and survey equipment
- Plan and execute Technical Security evaluations and services IAW DOE Order 470.6, SPB Procedural Guides 1, 2, & 3, and DOE/NNSA policy within prescribed time-frames
- Prepare thorough, clear, classified written reports comprehensively detailing evaluation procedures and technical findings
- Respond to Technical Security discoveries IAW national, DOE and NNSA policies
- Provide Technical Threat Briefings, analytical reports and products to senior level officials
- Collaborate with other security professionals
REQUIREMENTS
Senior Technician:
12 years experience, at least 7 years leading instrumented TSCM services
Graduate of Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Fundamentals Course
Active DOE 'Q' or DOD 'TS' clearance, and current SCI Eligibility
Technician:
9 years experience, at least 4 years performing instrumented TSCM services
Graduate of Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Fundamentals Course
Active DOE 'Q' or DOD 'TS' clearance, and current SCI Eligibility
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/CLEARANCE
CompTIA A+ , Network+, and Sec+
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for 4 years of experience
Relevant experience must be in signals analysis, physical security, TEMPEST, electrical/electronics, technical surveillance countermeasures, telecommunications, wireless security, cybersecurity, or information assurance
Salary Range: Senior Technician $150,000 - $175,000 Technician $135,000 - $150,000
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 per hour
