Full job description

· Create, organize, write, analyze, and edit technical documentation, operational procedures, and manuals to explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

· Research and professionally interface with Company Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Program Management organizations to develop detailed electronic and hard copy manuals that satisfy maintenance, logistics, and procedural requirements.

· Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the documentation required for execution of logistics-related projects and functions to achieve Company strategic objectives and Customer requirements

· Complete assigned tasks to implement processes and procedures for a growing company that meets FAA Part 145 regulatory requirements as well as enhance organizational efficiencies and profitability.

· Responsible to support and participate in the Ace Aeronautics QMS

· Develop and enhance Company Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) by creating maintenance procedures commensurate with aircraft modifications.

· As necessary, interface directly with the customer for all assigned areas

· All other tasks as assigned by the ILS Manager

Basic Skills and Competency Requirements Preferred:

  • Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree desired

· Minimum of 8 years aviation experience in the disciplines of maintenance and technical writing. Must have at least five years of technical writing experience in a team environment. Requires extensive rotary wing experience and strong attention to detail

· Expert in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

· Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences

· UH-60 A/L/M experience

· Extensible Markup Language (XML) (using Arbortext or Oxygen XML editor)

· Experience with aircraft structures and electrical systems

· Self-motivated and customer-oriented

  • Ability to have or obtain DoD SECRET clearance is required
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, with advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgment and discretion
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner with efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Graphics editing desired (Adobe PS, Adobe Illustrator)
