Job Title: Landscape Construction Laborer - Full-Time

Job Description

As a Technician for Townhome Landscapes, you will work on-site, as a member of our crew, to complete landscaping projects. We complete a wide range of projects including mowing/ edging, weeding, trimming/pruning, hardscape installation, vegetation installation, turf care, retaining wall installation, and many other types of projects.

You will learn/gain experience in a number of areas that you may not currently have experience in; however, it is expected that you have extensive experience/are an expert at mowing and edging lawns, and trimming/pruning vegetation (shrubs, trees, grasses, etc)

Our Three-Step Hiring Process:

What You Will Do

Primarily

  • Independently complete mowing/edging projects - with the ability to protect lawn health and deliver aesthetically pleasing results.
  • Independently complete trimming/pruning projects - with the ability to protect plant health and deliver aesthetically pleasing results.

Additionally

  • Assist supervisor to complete a wide range of low-risk outdoor installation projects, including mowing/edging, trimming/pruning, weeding, mulching, concrete installation, hardscape, carpentry, sod, irrigation, lighting and vegetation installation, snow/leaf removal, and more (visit www.townhomelandscapes.com for complete list of services)
  • Operate manual tools and power tools
  • Report concerns or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
  • Complete work correctly, so as to avoid re-work
  • Responsible for returning equipment in working condition
  • Politely engage with community stakeholders
  • Leave job site in clean condition
  • Assist operations team as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Portfolio and/or references
  • 1+ years of landscaping experience, preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership of leading initiatives and projects at your organization.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $23-27/hour

Weekly Hours: 40 hours a week

Schedule: Monday to Sunday (Flexible)

Work Location: Multiple locations (primarily DC). Primary meet up location is located 4 blocks from NoMA metro station

Payout Schedule: Weekly on Fridays
