Do you love technology? Coding? Video Production? Creative media? Are you looking for ways to expand your resume and gain experience in teaching technology? Are you ready for a fun experience working with kids?
Then this summer internship is just right for you! The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools' Spark Middle School Tech Camp is a technology-focused summer camp for Lincoln-area middle school students.
We are looking for a part-time, temporary intern to help ignite student's love of technology, guide student's journey while using new technology concepts and grow the next generation of coders, producers, tech experts, and artists!
This is a part-time, temporary, summer position with these specific timelines:
- Intern Position is for two weeks: June 9-13, 2025 AND July 14-18
- Approximately 5.5 hours/day; ~28 hours per week
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong understanding of technology, coding, gaming, video production, or any combination.
- Ability to work both weeks of camp
- Ability to effectively work with middle school students
DESIRED EXPEREINCE:
- Proven experience with coding, technology, coding, gaming, video production, or any combination.
- Proven experience working with K-12 students in a calm and fun manner.
- Ability to openly and professionally communicate with other staff, parents and guest speakers.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Motivation and initiative to work independently.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass Lincoln Public Schools background check
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

- Share your passion for new technology and knowledge of tech concepts with middle school students by helping to engage students in fun technology-focused activities and lessons.
- Provide supervision for middle school students before/after camp programming and during lunch breaks.
- Help ensure a safe and fun learning environment.
- With guidance from camp teachers, ensure students are engaged in lessons and advancing their tech skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Works 15% of the time outdoors. Needs to be able to lift 20 pounds, stand for long periods of time. Uses fine motor skills and near vision regularly.
LOCATION: Holmes Elementary School, 5230 Sumner Street, Lincoln, NE 68506
JOB TYPE: Part Time, Temporary
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 5.5 hours per day (either morning or afternoon shift)
REPORTS TO: Program Director
RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM: Program Director, Camp Teachers, and FLPS President
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.00 per hour
