Technology Sales – Security, Fire Alarm, and Communications.

Skilled sales personality with strong communication skills sought for a new position on our team selling Security and Fire Alarm monitoring and inspections and cellular communication systems to new customers throughout Wisconsin.

Best Defense Fire Protection & Security is a privately owned, fast paced life safety company. We’ve been in business for 27 years. We offer exciting life safety solutions that are not only fun to sell, use, and install, there is also excellent income potential in designing and selling the systems.

Position is ideal for those who are succeeding in retail, hospitality, beauty, telemarketing, or cellular telephone sales who want to make the leap to professional outside sales and LOVE working with technology.

With three offices statewide, Madison, Milwaukee, and Appleton, this position can be based from any of the locations.

Job duties include:

· Sales or recurring alarm and fire sprinkler monitoring and inspection services

· Sales of cellular and wireless communications systems into buildings

· Sales of small to mid-size burglar alarm security systems

· Sales of CCTV video surveillance systems

Skills required:

· Outgoing personality with a strong interest or some experience in sales

· A “go-getter” approach to sales, the more calls you make, the more you can earn.

· The ability to open doors. “Cold” and “Warm” calling will be a large part of this position.

· Professional appearance and the ability to make a strong first impression

· Confidence

· A passion for technology. We expect our sales team to understand all aspects of our product in order to best consult with our customer to provide them with the best overall value to meet their concerns. You have to LOVE working with PC gadgets, apps, cell phones, etc. Attention to detail – this is a life safety industry

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills. We’re counting on you to develop and present professional estimates and presentations.

· Organized. Sales and prospecting information is entered into company CRM software and tracked by sales management

· Dependability

· Good driving record

· Ability to close a sale!

· Ability to ask good questions. We are seeking an professional who can present extremely well, but knows how and when to simply be quite, listen, and ask good questions.

Training Provided:

We can’t train passion or tech savvy – you must bring that to qualify. For the right applicant, Best Defense will provide the following training.

· In lab training on products sold including video surveillance and security systems. First, we’ll train you on the basics of how to use it. Once you succeed, we’ll help you learn the more detailed installation side of the product in order to better understand how to design and sell the system.

· On the job with installation team. If you are selling a product for Best Defense, you will be trained on the basics of how to field install it. We’re not looking to make you an installer, but will provide the basics of how it’s done to ensure you can provide accurate advice to customers during sales. This is accomplished by spending some time in the field with our crew on the basics of install.

· Sales training. Online or in seminar as well as audio books and role-playing

· Training on estimating software.
