Job Description: Technology Specialist (AV, lighting, POS)

About Us

PopStroke is an experiential golf and casual dining concept merging a dynamic, technologically advanced competitive golf environment with food and beverage. Headquartered in Jupiter, Florida, PopStroke has a dedicated team of experienced professionals in the food, beverage, and hospitality fields. PopStroke offers an expansive variety of craft beer, wine, ice cream and food and infuses technology within the golf experience to create an interactive and competitive atmosphere for all participants. Unique to PopStroke is the PopStroke App and Jumbotron leaderboard. PopStroke currently has seven facilities, in FL, AZ and TX, with significant expansion plans throughout the United States. TGR Design with Tiger Woods’ involvement will be responsible for designing the putting courses at all future PopStroke locations.

Your role will involve deploying, maintaining, and supporting audio, video, lighting, and other technologies aimed at elevating the experience for both our valued internal team and our guests. What You'll Do

Your role includes creating, maintaining, and upgrading audio, video, and lighting solutions related to the guest experience at PopStroke. This role also includes deploying, supporting and upgrading point of sale, and related restaurant technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain various audio visual systems and integrations
  • Program audio visual control system interfaces and equipment, such as Biamp, QSC, QSYS, SAVI, etc.
  • Installing, configuring, updating, and troubleshooting appropriate hardware and software at each location, including networked equipment, point of sale system, security system, and VOIP
  • Troubleshoot equipment, maintain standards, produce training and project documentation
  • Collaborate with other team members to set objectives and design robust, functional systems
  • Develop new, innovative, and experiential concepts in-venue
  • Ability to self-organize, manage project priorities, and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Lead the technical success of projects
  • Other projects and tasks as required

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience building audio, video, and Low Voltage lighting systems
  • General understanding of low voltage circuitry and network principles
  • Ability to create technical documentation and train users on interfaces
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently, as well as team oriented
  • Proven ability to prioritize, handle risk, control costs, adhere to timelines and manage project team
  • Ability to use tools, troubleshoot, and test equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Occasional weekend, holiday and/or after hour support may be required
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 60% of the time to individual locations as needed; valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commercial system integrations including audio, video, lighting, networks, CCTV
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems which include kitchen printers, payment readers, POE devices, kitchen display systems; and other hospitality systems
  • Experience installing, managing and supporting server racks, Meraki firewalls, Cisco switches, routers, wireless access points, VOIP systems, battery backup solutions, and security endpoints
  • Experience providing hands-on IT support/solutions for restaurants or other multi-unit businesses
  • Hands on experience with DSP programming
  • Experience with payment technology, or experiential entertainment
  • Interest in golf or other sports

The position will be based in Jupiter, FL. PopStroke offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work remotely while also coming into the office occasionally for face-to-face interactions, planning, discoveries, and more. We believe in the benefits of flexible remote work combined with the innovative advantages of in-person collaboration. Candidates located within South Florida are preferred.
