POSITION SUMMARY

Are you a Software Test Engineer who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment? Would you like to help large data centers manage their power consumption to meet energy efficiency and corporate sustainability goals? If so, we would like to talk to you.

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to augment our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of innovative web-based Energy and Data Center Management software that helps our customers understand and manage energy consumption and environmental conditions in their facilities.

This position is based out of our Raleigh office overlooking Lake Johnson Park. The office has a break room with ping pong and foosball, plenty of windows, coffee, and convenient access to I-40, US-1, and 440.

Work Schedule

· Hybrid

Day to day, we use Java, Rails, Ruby, Angular, RSpec, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Linux and GitHub.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Software Testing Automation Engineer will be primarily responsible for:

· Creating and automating test scenarios and identifying/reporting defects

· Will be a pivotal member of an Agile Scrum team working closely with developers to drive a successful automation strategy

· Should be passionate about quality and test automation.

· Develop and maintain test execution steps in an automated framework

· Review pull requests from other engineers for correctness

· Fix specs that are broken as a result of changes to the product GUI

· Incorporate specs into the nightly Jenkins process

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Must be a graduate of a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering program (or similar field)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of software test automation
  • Experience with scripting

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

A candidate with any of the following will be at an advantage:

  • Linux power user
  • Experience with Capybara/rspec platform or a similar framework
  • Experience with Jenkins
