About the Job

Kitchen & bath CRATE is looking for a new full-time tile helper, knowledgeable in all aspects of tile installation with a general knowledge of residential tile and waterproofing codes, to help us implement our kitchen and bathroom remodeling concepts. If you love to build, make customers happy, produce remarkable products and work well with a group of like-minded folks, this is the job for you.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of tile installation
  • General knowledge of residential tile and waterproofing code
  • Must be able to properly assist tile setters, including cutting, mixing of mud, thinset and grout, and grout installation
  • Experience with custom residential tile installations
  • Able to lift 100 lbs. on your own to accomplish work-related tasks

Required Tools & Equipment:

  • Your own personal hand tools needed to conduct all aspects of the job
  • A clean, serviceable and reliable vehicle to be used in the conduct of the job
  • A clean DMV record and proof thereof

Job Description:

  • Provide expert support for tile setters, increasing project quality and efficiency
  • Assist tile setters in installing tile and stone, including but not limited to mixing of thinset, cutting tile, mixing and installing grout, installing substrates, and general jobsite cleanup
  • Make sure tile materials are organized and accessible during and after tile installation

Compensation:

Compensation contingent upon experience. Hourly rate between $18-25 / hour.
