Position Summary
We are seeking a Traffic Engineer/ Transportation Safety Planner with 3+ years of experience in Transportation Safety, Planning, and Design. As we expand our services in this area, you will be part of our full-time on-site staff responsible for a range of engineering and planning services. An ideal candidate will have experience with Complete Streets, the Highway Safety Manual (HSM), Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP), ADA compliance, bicycle and pedestrian design, and the safe system approach. The candidate would also be able to commute to Ewing, NJ 2 days a week and work from home on other days.
Key Responsibilities
- Crash analysis
- Safety targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Drawing and conceptual design review
- Stakeholder coordination
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) review and guidance
- Support and manage safety-focused programs
Qualifications Desired
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience in transportation planning and/or engineering
- Experience managing transportation projects
- Knowledge of industry standards including HSM, AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Office software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in team environment

The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
