ReSOURCE is looking for a Training Manager that will also serve as the AmeriCorps Program Manager to lead our highly regarded youth and adult training programs. ReSOURCE is an innovative non-profit organization with the mission of waste reduction, job skill training and poverty relief. What the Training Manager Does
ReSOURCE's training programs change lives. The Training Manager is also our AmeriCorps State Program Manager and will head up our Work Based Learning programs both in our retail stores and for our Business Enterprise Program based at State cafes, that provide WBL training for high school students with disabilities. The Training Manager will also work with our partners developing a nationally accredited Work Based Learning model as part of the VT Pathways to Partnerships (P2P) grant.
This is a supervisory position overseeing a full-time coordinator and two part-time program trainers. The successful candidate must have strong leadership experience, and some knowledge of working in education, or with individuals with disabilities.
This position builds and maintain an inclusive and respectful learning environment for staff and students, implements and develops training programs that are accessible and responsive to student and labor market needs, and recruits and develops a skilled training team.
The successful candidate will oversee a federally funded AmeriCorps program, collaborate in a multi partner 5 year grant, assess labor market needs and funding opportunities in Vermont, and will be part of the management team engaging in 2 years of professional training in DEI at ReSOURCE.
Work Schedule & Environment
Hours – This is a full-time salaried position working approximately 40 hours per week, with a standard weekday schedule.
Location – ReSOURCE’s Williston Office primarily, with regular travel required to other ReSOURCE sites.
Compensation – $60,008 annual salary. This is a grant funded position and salary is non-negotiable.
Job Requirements
The Training Manager must know how to recruit, support, supervise and develop a diverse staff, how to design and develop curricula that meets state standards, employer needs and student abilities, and must have excellent communication skills to gather information from a variety of parties needed to run a program.
They must be a highly experienced supervisor, and naturally good at engaging and supporting adults and youth with disabilities and barriers to employment and must have a natural eye for details and deadlines.
Technology skills are a must for this position. Familiarity with Microsoft products including Teams and Excel, and the ability to learn new systems is required.
