About the Position:
- We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated, self-sufficient, highly organized and goal-oriented associate to join our close-knot, fast-growing team.
- The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of Transactional experience in a law office with the willingness to learn the Trust/Estates practice. Probate and/or trust litigation experience is a bonus as we do have some litigation work in those particular probate areas.
- Personality, leadership, character, intelligence, and integrity will be paramount considerations.
- This position requires, at a minimum, a procedural understanding of mergers and acquisitions, Corporate formations, Trademark Formations, with experience of providing a high-level review of deeds, corporate contracts, transactional agreements, and residential and/or commercial leases.
- Must be familiar with utilizing various Secretary of State websites.
- Must be familiar with utilizing various Superior Court websites and other government related entities.
Qualifications:
- Licensed JD from an ABA- approved law school in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Form legal entities.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, leases and advise on business matter.
- Advise on general governance, commercial, and compliance matters.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with court websites, and WealthDocx is preferred but not required.
- Excellent drafting and legal writing skills.
- Experience managing a full case load.
